As part of the concert series "With Classics Through Poland," organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance, the recognized pianist Adam Kośmieja, who has earned the title of one of the most innovative and modern Polish pianists, will perform in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship from April 3 to 5, 2025.
Dr. Adam Kośmieja is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music in New York and the Felix Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where he currently serves as the head of the piano department. The city of Bydgoszcz honored the artist with the Marian Rejewski Laurel - an award given to individuals who elevate the city's significance on the international stage.
At the invitation of the National Institute of Music and Dance, he will perform at the Malinowa Weranda (Markowa 1496), the Cultural Center and Library in Krasne, and the Cultural Center in Sonina. Adam Kośmieja will perform Three Preludes in the Form of Blues by Aleksander Tansman, the theme from the film Smuga Cienia (Rejs Music) by Wojciech Kilar, as well as works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Friedrich Gulda, Chick Corea, Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass, and Simeon ten Holt.
The concert series "With Classics Across Poland" is organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance and financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
