The National Institute of Music and Dance invites you to a series of concerts held from September 11 to 13, 2025, as part of the project “With Classical Music Through Poland”. During this edition in the Lublin Voivodeship, the acclaimed young pianist Jakub Kuszlik will perform.
Concerts will take place at the Opole Cultural Center, the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Garbów, and the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krzczonów.
Jakub Kuszlik will perform selected Mazurkas, Op. 50 by Karol Szymanowski, as well as Ballade in G minor, Scherzo in C-sharp minor, and waltzes by Fryderyk Chopin. The program will also include works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Claude Debussy.
Jakub Kuszlik is the 4th Prize winner at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition, where he also received the Polish Radio Award for the best performance of mazurkas. He is also a 2nd Prize winner at the 10th International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2016), as well as at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition in the USA. He received 3rd Prize at the Top of the World International Piano Competition in Tromsø, Norway, and the Young Jury Award at the 2024 Montreal International Music Competition.
