An extraordinary duo will come together thanks to the National Institute of Music and Dance’s project “With Classical Across Poland”!
From August 7 to 9, 2025, in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, audiences will have the chance to hear Janusz Wawrowski – playing a violin crafted by Antonio Stradivari – and pianist Julia Kociuban. Admission is free, but invitations are required.

The program, interpreted by these outstanding artists, will include Violin Sonata No. 1 by Grażyna Bacewicz, as well as works by Gabriel Fauré and Niccolò Paganini.
Janusz Wawrowski is considered one of the most prominent and accomplished violinists of his generation. He has premiered numerous violin concertos written especially for him by composers such as Tomasz J. Opałka, Marcin Markowicz, Norbert Palej, Dariusz Przybylski, and Albena Petrovic. He is a two-time winner of the prestigious Polish phonographic award “Fryderyk” (2017 and 2019).
Julia Kociuban’s debut album Schumann, Chopin, Bacewicz was hailed by critics as one of the most compelling piano debut recordings in recent years. Her interpretation of Grażyna Bacewicz’s Piano Sonata No. 2 has been described as the finest recording of the piece in the world.
