"With Classics across Poland": The Whoop Group in Polish Radio

Information about the event | Warszawa | 14 June 2025

As part of the "With Classics through Poland" concert series, the saxophone quartet The Whoop Group will perform on June 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Władysław Szpilman Concert Studio of Polish Radio.

The Whoop Group is the most recognizable Polish saxophone quartet. The ensemble specializes in classical music, which they perform in their own original arrangements, but they also excel in other genres—jazz, pop, and even film music. The group’s versatility has inspired many composers to dedicate works to them. Additionally, the musicians compose their own pieces, which often blend all the genres they explore in their performances.

One such piece—Evolution of Classical Music by Krzysztof Koszowski—will be featured in the upcoming concert. The program will also include saxophone quartet arrangements of works by Vittorio Monti, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Vivaldi, and Edvard Grieg.

Free entry passes to the Władysław Szpilman Studio can be reserved by email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
The concert will be broadcast live on Polish Radio Channel 2 (Program 2) and streamed in video format on Dwójka’s YouTube channel.

The "With Classics through Poland" concert series is organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance and funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
