As part of the National Institute of Music and Dance project, carried out by the Polish Music Management, "With Classics Through Poland," performances will take place in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship from September 5-7, 2024. The performers include Robert Gierlach (bass-baritone), a soloist from the Warsaw Chamber Opera and the Grand Theatre – National Opera, and Professor Robert Morawski (piano) from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
Robert Gierlach also teaches solo singing at the Vocal and Acting Department of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. Robert Morawski currently serves as the Head of the Piano and String Chamber Music Department at the same institution. He was a longtime pianist for the Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw and the leader of the pianist group.
The renowned artists will perform songs by Stanisław Moniuszko, with lyrics by Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński, Artur Oppman, and Adam Mickiewicz, as well as My Darling and Away from My Eyes by Fryderyk Chopin (also with lyrics by Mickiewicz), along with works by Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann.
The concerts will take place on September 5 at the Church of the Holy Trinity and Blessed Virgin Mary in Strzelno, on September 6 at the Municipal Cultural Center in Gąsawa, and on September 7 at the Lubostroń Palace.
