On September 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Sierakowski Manor in Sopot, the world premiere of Three Songs by Marcin Tadeusz Łukaszewski, set to the poetry of Cezary Maciej Dąbrowski, will take place. Admission is free!
Three Songs will be performed by Dorota Całek (soprano) and Anna Mikolon (piano). The cycle includes poems selected from the collection Zimno nadchodzi (Cold is Coming): Erotyk (Love poem), Jabłko (Apple), and Żurawie (Cranes). The piece was composed as part of the Scholarships from the Creativity Promotion Fund, realized by the Society of Authors ZAiKS.
Also performing at the concert will be saxophonist Alicja Wołyńczyk-Raniszewska and pianist Urszula Świerczyńska. The artists will present works by Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska, Joaquín Nin y Castellanos, Ludomir Rogowski, Marian Sawa, and Krzysztof Zgraja.
The event is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the "Composers’ Commissions" program, realized by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
