On January 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM, a concert titled “Spisak” will take place at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (20 Gdańska Street), organized by the Young Composers' Circle of the Polish Composers' Union, in honor of the 60th anniversary of the death of the composer Michał Spisak.
Performers: Monika Sroczyńska (piano) and Maciej Danielak (violin) will present a program of works for violin and piano selected through a call for scores, including:
- Fantasia on the Christmas Carol "Gdy się Chrystus rodzi" by Monika Sroczyńska
- Three Caprices by Filip Popielarz
- Elegiacus by Piotr Kasiłowski
- Toccata by Grzegorz Uran
- A by Natalia Kaszubska for piano and tape
- Schizzi by Andrei Yakusha for piano
Additionally, the concert will feature Improvvisazione by Michał Spisak for violin and piano, a work that was awarded at the 2nd International Henryk Wieniawski Composers’ Competition in Poznań.
