Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
The 67th artistic season at the Zielona Góra Philharmonic will be inaugurated by a symphonic concert, which will take place on the 17th of September, 2022 in the MCM Hall. Soloists will be: Hubert Zapiór (baritone) and violinist Tareq Matar. The FZ Orchestra will be conducted by Rafał Kłoczko. We will hear, among others, Polish music, including the masterpiece of the patron of the institution, as well as Sonnets to words by Adam Wesołowski, composed especially for this occasion.
The inaugural concert of the 67th artistic season will begin with the overture to the opera Maria by Roman Statkowski, a composer considered to be the most important artist before Szymanowski. As in the previous one, also this year, the programme of the concert could not miss Tadeusz Baird’s 4 Love Sonnets to words by Shakespeare, in whose output vocal poetry occupied a special place. On the 17th of September, they will be interpreted by a Polish singer of the young generation, Hubert Zapiór, who will have his debut on the Zielona Góra stage.
