Opera in a concert version, a chamber music concert and a piano recital are preparedby the Zielona Góra Philharmonic for the weekend of November 11-13, 2022. Artists such as pianist Szymon Nehring, the violinist Mateusz Makuch born in Zielona Góra, Polish singers as well as the Philharmonic Orchestra led by the director of the institution, Rafał Kłoczko will perform both well-known works and world premieres.
The climax of the event will be the concert on the 11th of November. For the first time, the opera by Albert Lortzing from 1832, Der Pole und sein Kind ("A Pole and His Child") will be performed in its entirety. In the second part the audience will be presented with „Flis” by Stanisław Moniuszko. In the solo parts we will hear, among others Szymon Mechliński - laureate of this year's International Vocal Competition S. Moniuszko in Warsaw, soprano singer Ewa Tracz, recognized locally and internationally, and Łukasz Konieczny, who triumphs on the western and national stages. The soloists will be accompanied by the Choir of the Grand Theater in Poznań, as well as the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rafał Kłoczko.
On the 12th of November, we will hear Mateusz Makuch – a soloist, member of the Penderecki Trio, who will present, together with pianist Wojciech Kubica, compositions by Magdalena Cynk, Henryk Wieniawski, Johann Sebastian Bach and César Franck.
The crowning of this year's ‘Weekend with the Independent’ will be Sunday piano recital of Szymon Nehring (13.11), who will perform works by Fryderyk Chopin, Karol Szymanowski, as well as Franz Liszt and Claude Debussy.
