Photo report from the presentation of Roman Palester's "Writings"
The editors of the three-volume collection of Roman Palester's Writings took part in the February "Meeting with Composers" – Beata Bolesławska-Lewandowska, Iwona Lindstedt, Lech Dzierżanowski, Magdalena Borowiec, curator of the Polish Composers’ Archive at the University of Warsaw Library, who transcribed approximately 800 of Palester's radio broadcasts, reviewer of the writings Dr. Jolanta Guzy-Pasiak (Institute of Art, Polish Academy of Sciences), and representatives of the Polish Music Publishing House. Thanks to them, attendees could purchase unique books with autographs.
During the meeting, Dr. Krzysztof Bilica handed over previously unknown letters of Tadeusz Kaczyński to the Polish Composers’ Archive.
The collection of Palester's writings was created through the tremendous efforts of a team of distinguished specialists who carefully handled the scholarly aspects, considering the selection and arrangement of Palester's texts, with the project directed by Prof. Violetta Wejs-Milewska.
The monograph was co-financed by funds from the project under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education's program "Regional Initiative of Excellence" for the years 2019-2022, carried out by the Faculty of Philology at the University of Białystok.
The author of the photos is Maciej Borowski.
