11. Festival of premieres in NOSPR

The next celebration of new music at NOSPR will take place from March 14-16, 2025. The 11th Festival of Premieres will offer a unique opportunity for musical discoveries—both of the latest works and those that had to wait for their time, sometimes even for decades.

We will delve into the past with the music of Polish modernism and forgotten minimalist works by Tomasz Sikorski and Zygmunt Krauze. Among the highlights are previously unperformed compositions by Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar and Barbara Buczek. We will step into the future through the works of the youngest generation of composers, featuring unusual instruments, including the theremin. The festival will also foster intergenerational encounters: on one stage, the Silesian Quartet and NeoQuartet will perform, alongside the New Music Orchestra and Camerata Silesia.

This year, the program will also include works for the youngest listeners, including “Baby Opera” by Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska.
