The Fryderyk Chopin Institute invites you to the 1st International Conference on Digital Musicology, held in English, from October 23rd to 25th, 2024. The event will take place at the NIFC building, located at Tamka 43, in the conference room on the first floor. The conference includes lectures and workshops, and participation is free.
The theme of the conference focuses on the use of modern digital technologies in musicological research—a topic that has yet to gain significant traction in Poland. The event aims to bring together renowned researchers from around the world, providing a platform for the exchange of information and experiences in the field of digital humanities.
Invited speakers will present a variety of research projects and initiatives utilizing digital tools. Additionally, a series of five practical workshops on the methodology of digital musicological projects will help participants begin their own work in this field.
The conference is aimed at university faculty, research institute staff, independent scholars, and enthusiasts alike.
