The 6th edition of the Józef Madeja International Chamber Music Festival will take place from 22 September to 26 October 2025 in both Poland and Germany – in Poznań, Kórnik, Jankowice, Biedrusko, and Hamburg. The Józef Madeja Association has prepared a program including concerts and masterclasses. Admission to all concerts is free!
On 22 September, the Festival Opening Concert will take place at the Alfred Schnittke Akademie in Hamburg, organized in collaboration with the Deutsch-Polnischen Gesellschaft Hamburg. The concert will be performed by the Apeiron Trio, featuring Michał Rot (piano), Piotr Kosarga (violin), and Jan Czaja (cello).
On 28 September, during the "Clarinet Gala" at Jankowice Palace, the Józef Madeja Clarinet Ensemble conducted by Miłosz Otto will perform. The evening will also feature acclaimed duos: clarinetist Andrzej Wojciechowski accompanied by pianist Hanna Holeksa, and oboist Justyna Stanek with pianist Monika Kruk.
On 5 October, Biedrusko Palace will host the concert "Chamber Sounds: A Journey Through Music", featuring Barbara Tritt (soprano), Damian Suchożebrski (bass), Paweł Kroczek (clarinet) and Hanna Lizinkiewicz (piano).
On 12 October, the Stuligrosz Concert Hall at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań will become a celebration of chamber music, with a performance by the outstanding Berlin Piano Trio.
The final concert will take place on 26 October at the Kórnik Castle, featuring a performance by Bastarda Trio.
As part of the Festival, masterclasses will also be held, conducted by members of the Berlin Piano Trio and clarinetist Andrzej Wojciechowski.
The concert program will feature exceptional works of chamber music by A. Panufnik, L. Różycki, R. Twardowski, M. Magin, E. Chausson, Fr. Chopin, H. Czyż, A. Maklakiewicz, and Fr. Poulenc. The Festival will also include world premieres of works by Radosław Mateja, Paweł Bałutowski, Krzysztof Falkowski, and Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska.
The Festival is co-financed by: the Self-Government of the Greater Poland Voivodeship, the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation, the Kórnik Estate Foundation, and the Totalizator Sportowy Foundation.
