The Przypływ Kultury Foundation, in collaboration with Program 2 of the Polish Radio, invites you to the 9th Festival "TRZY-CZTE-RY: Contexts. Contrasts. Confrontations". The festival will take place from November 16 to December 7, 2024, at the Polish Radio Concert Studios in Warsaw. The event will feature 8 concerts, each accompanied by discussion panels with participating artists.
The inaugural concert will be performed by Sinfonia Viva, conducted by Tomasz Radziwonowicz, with Karol Radziwonowicz performing the solo part in Johann Sebastian Bach's Piano Concerto in E major.
During the chamber music evenings, you will hear performances by Szymanowski Quartet, Jakub Jakowicz, Katarzyna Budnik, Łukasz Chrzęszczyk, Radosław Kurek, Agnieszka Podłucka, Marcin Zdunik, and Aleksander Dębicz.
As part of the "Trampolina Młodych" cycle, the festival will also feature some of the most promising artists of the young generation.
The grand finale will be performed by AUKSO – The Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, conducted by Marek Moś, with Dorota Anderszewska as the soloist in Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major. This concert will also celebrate Dorota Anderszewska's 50th anniversary of playing the violin.
The festival's program will include works by Witold Lutosławski, Grażyna Bacewicz, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Paweł Szymański, Tadeusz Wielecki, Zygmunt Krauze, Józef Koffler, Andrzej Panufnik, Mieczysław Wajnberg, Paweł Mykietyn, Stanisław Krupowicz, and Władysław Żeleński.
A highlight of the festival will be the world premiere of some whispers of mists and water above, hidden in the rocks" by Andrzej Karałów, featuring the composer himself.
The festival is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Cultural Promotion Fund, as part of the "Music" program, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance. It is also co-financed by ZAW STOART and the City of Warsaw.
The event partner is the Association of Authors ZAIKS. The final concert will be realized in collaboration with the Polish Music Publishing House, as part of the TUTTI.pl program, which promotes performing of Polish music.
