The Polish Society for Contemporary Music invites composers to participate in the 19th International Kazimierz Serocki Composition Competition, held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Composers Union. The deadline for submitting entries is October 1, 2025.
The competition is focused on works for chamber ensembles consisting of 3 to 5 instruments, as specified in the competition regulations, without a conductor.
Composers of all nationalities and ages are eligible to participate. Works that have been publicly performed and/or awarded in other competitions are allowed, provided they last between 10 and 16 minutes.
The entry fee for the competition is 260 PLN.
Submitted works will be judged by an international jury composed of Paweł Łukaszewski (Poland), Paul Patterson (United Kingdom), and Dariusz Przybylski (Poland). The winners will be announced no later than October 13, 2025. The financial prizes will be revealed at a later date. The youngest laureate will receive a Special Award in the form of a publication by the Polish Music Publishing House.
The Winners' Concert, co-organized with Program 2 of the Polish Radio, will take place on December 6, 2025, at the Władysław Szpilman Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw. The awarded works will be performed by the Hashtag Ensemble.
The prizes have been funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
