Searching for innovations in music, stimulating the creativity of young artists, and creating new chapters in the history of music—these are the ideas behind the II National Composers’ Competition for school miniatures, the final of which will take place at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School Complex in Piła on September 30, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
The event will feature jurors, laureates, and award winners from various places in Poland. All of this is in line with the school’s motto—to "discover talents that change the world through music." During the concert, works by young Polish composers will receive their world premieres.
The Competition Jury, consisting of Dr. Monika Kędziora, Dr. Artur Kroschel, Dr. Katarzyna Taborowska, Monika Sroczyńska, and Mateusz Pieróg (secretary), was impressed by the stylistic diversity and high level of the 17 submitted compositions. The Jury's deliberations resulted in the awarding of 6 prizes, including 3 honorable mentions:
The project is sponsored by the Parents' Council at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School Complex in Piła and the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music Publishing House in Poznań.
