On November 29 at 6:00 p.m., a special concert will take place at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice: the year 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of this national cultural institution, entered in the register of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. The audience will hear one of Krzysztof Penderecki’s most important works – St. Luke Passion.
The event will feature outstanding artists associated with the composer: Iwona Hossa (soprano), Mariusz Godlewski (baritone), Artur Janda (bass), Krzysztof Gosztyła (reciter), the Cracow Philharmonic Boys’ Choir, the Ukrainian Boys’ and Girls’ Choir of the Cracow Philharmonic, the Polish Radio Choir – Lusławice, as well as the Choir and Orchestra of the Cracow Philharmonic. At the conductor’s podium will stand Maestro Maciej Tworek, a long-time collaborator of Krzysztof Penderecki and one of the foremost interpreters of his works today.
The concert is organized by the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice and the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Cracow.
The event accompanies the 7th International Festival of Central and Eastern European Music “Eufonie,” organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the National Centre for Culture.
