The Polish Society for Contemporary Music invites families to improvisation workshops "Tell Me a Story", which will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11.00 am at MAL Kłobucka 14 in Warsaw. The event will be hosted by outstanding improvisers: vocalist Iza Kowalewska, composer and pianist Jarosław Siwiński, and double bassist Małgorzata Kołcz. Admission is free.
The program includes plenty of music, improvisation, as well as smart, educational play with sounds and books. Participants will explore, among other things, various instrument extended techniques that showcase their coloristic and dynamic qualities, and they will also have the chance to play various percussion instruments themselves. The main idea of the workshops is to combine graphic-inspired improvisations—first literary, and then musical. Children love making up their own stories based on the presented picture books!
The workshops are addressed to children aged 3–10, including young music lovers with special needs, as well as their parents. They will last approximately 90 minutes, with a short break.
Admission to the workshops is free of charge, however, as the number of places is limited, the organizers request prior registration via the form below:
