"White vs Black: A Dialogue of Contrasts" – A New Take on Instrumental Theatre

Information about the event | Płock | 18 September 2025

The Aurea Porta Foundation for the Friends of the Arts invites you on September 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM to the Masovian Museum in Płock for the innovative musical performance "White vs Black: A Dialogue of Contrasts", directed by Łukasz Czuj, combining instrumental theatre, performance art, and visual arts.
Free admission!

This premiere performance reflects the eternal conflict of opposites – light and darkness, harmony and dissonance. Musicians, dancers, and vocalists will become actors, while the audience will become active participants. The stage space symbolically refers to the structure of a chessboard and the graphic notation of a musical composition. Designed as an interactive graphic installation, it immersively engages the audience, offering a unique artistic experience.

The performance is inspired by the music of Bogusław Schaeffer and the poetry of Allen Ginsberg.

Featuring: vocalist Wojciech Myrczek, percussionists Bernard Maseli and Paweł Dobrowolski, double bassist Andrzej Święs, dancer Paweł Zufal, and actress Izabela Baran.

The co-organizer is the Masovian Museum in Płock. The event partner is the Mazovian Voivodeship Government.

Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the National Centre for Culture’s “Culture – Interventions. 2025 Edition” program.
