Hashtag Lab invites you to a concert of improvised music on experimental instruments built by Andrew Tadeusz King on February 28, 2025 at 7:00 pm. The concert will accompany an exhibition of his original instruments, "Wspaki i wstęgi", which will run until March 2 - free admission!
Wstęgi are taut hoops, referring in shape to the ribbon of Mõbius; they have resonators, with metal strings stretched between them. They are played with a bow, like a cello. Wspaki belong to the family of stringed instruments, but their resonant boxes are stretched in a special way.
These unique instruments will be played by their designer and Wojciech Błażejczyk, and accompanied by hurdy-gurdy virtuoso Maciej Cierlicki, better known as Maćko Korba.
The Hashtag Lab Contemporary Music Space is co-financed by the City of Warsaw.
