On January 30, the Polish premiere of the latest composition by Szczecin composer Piotr Gryka for mezzo-soprano, cello, and piano to the words of Francesco Petrarca took place in the Concert Hall of the Pomeranian Landhouse at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The work *CANZONIERE* was composed in April 2024 on the occasion of the 650th anniversary of the poet's death. The first performers of the ten songs that make up the cycle were: Weronika Włodarczyk, currently a diploma student at the Vocal Department of the Academy of Art in Szczecin under the guidance of Dr. hab. Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewska, Prof. AS, Antoni Majewski, a cellist and doctoral student at the Szczecin Academy of Art under the guidance of Prof. Dr. hab. Tomasz Szczęsny, and the experienced pianist Agnieszka Barańska, employed at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
The Polish premiere of the *CANZONIERE* song cycle was preceded by a vocal recital by Liu Yaxuan, a participant in the Doctoral Seminar of the Academy of Art in Szczecin, in the solo singing class of Dr. hab. Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewska, Prof. AS, accompanied by Agnieszka Barańska on the piano.
The coordination, artistic supervision, and moderation of the concert were handled by Dr. hab. Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewska, Prof. AS. The event was organized by the Academy of Art in Szczecin, the Association of First-Class Initiatives, and Musikverein BEL CANTO Ueckermünde e.V.
