On December 20, the last "Pre-Christmas Meeting with Composers" of 2024 took place at the headquarters of the Polish Composers' Union, beautifully lit on the Old Town Market Square. This time, Dr. Michał Piekarski, a renowned researcher of the musical history of Lviv, performed well-known and forgotten Christmas carols and pastorals with the audience, focusing on the Lviv-Przemyśl traditions, and shared stories about their history.
Joining in the musical gathering were composers Jarosław Siwiński, Prof. Krzesimir Dębski, Prof. Edward Sielicki, Carlos Malcolm, the Director of the Institute of Musicology at the University of Warsaw Prof. Iwona Lindstedt, representatives of the Polish Librarians' Association, the Editor-in-Chief of “Presto” Kinga Wojciechowska, and Lviv natives from Warsaw, including musicologist Mrs. Zofia Iwanowa.
These unique moments, full of spontaneity and sincerity, were captured by Maciej Borowski.
