The Aurea Porta Foundation and the Toy Piano Gallery in Wrocław invite music teachers to participate in free workshops on November 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The workshops aim to present unconventional music education practices inspired by the work of Bogusław Schaeffer. The sessions will be led by Paweł Romańczuk, leader of the artistic group Małe Instrumenty. No specific qualifications are required to participate, but the number of places is limited!
For 15 years, the Aurea Porta Foundation has been promoting the work of the Polish creator, composer, playwright, and graphic artist Bogusław Schaeffer. These workshops are the final part of a three-year project titled "Awangardowa Edukacja Kulturalna. Teatr instrumentalny Bogusława Schaeffera" (Avant-garde Cultural Education. The Instrumental Theatre of Bogusław Schaeffer), dedicated to young audiences. The main idea of this project is to familiarize both teachers and students with the phenomenon of instrumental theatre and to use alternative methods in working with students during classes focused on Polish music avant-garde.
Paweł Romańczuk will demonstrate how Schaeffer’s works—highly engaging and imaginative—can be effectively used in music education, particularly in group music-making as a means of creative student integration.
A total of 15 spots places are available (first come, first served). To register, please send an email to:
