Musical Echoes of the Interwar Period is the title of the newest album by the Polish Chamber Choir — a unique presentation of works by Polish composers who created during a crucial era for the shaping of modern Polish statehood. Their a cappella choral pieces will be performed at the album’s premiere concert on 15 November 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in Artus Court in Gdańsk.
The project aims to promote the rich tradition of Polish choral music and to bring contemporary audiences closer to the works of both acclaimed and lesser-known composers whose pieces, despite their high artistic value, are today seldom included in concert programmes.
Under the direction of Jan Łukaszewski, the programme will feature works by Stanisław Niewiadomski, Stanisław Wiechowicz, Stefan Poradowski, Tadeusz Zygfryd Kassern, Tadeusz Szeligowski, Feliks Nowowiejski, Stanisław Kazura, Jan Maklakiewicz, and Bolesław Wallek-Walewski.
The album — released by Requiem Records — was made possible thanks to funding from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Musical Trace programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
