The Baltic Sea Cultural Center in Gdańsk in cooperation with the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music and the Department of Composition of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk invite you on 10 December 2020 at 7.00 p.m. to the concert "Sound Winter Gardens".
This year's last concert in the series "New Music in the Old Town Hall" will be streamed live on YouTube from the Old Town Hall in Gdańsk. The programme will include compositions from different parts of the world, written in different periods and representing different styles, although all connected by the use of electronics.
We will hear music by German composer Michael Beil and Romanian composer Doina Rotaru as well as Polish works by Paweł Mykietyn (Klavierstücke for Casio CTK-731 synthesiser) and Tomasz Sikorski (Rondo for keybord instrument). Moreover, Marcin Dymiter (known as Emiter) will present excerpts from his latest album AO Music for Small Electronic Objects, Beats, Tape and Voice. The concert will be hosted by composer Dariusz Mazurowski who will also perform his work My Polish Songbook from 2013 in a new version, referring to to the current pandemic situation.
